G eneral: Wowieeeee… this week was good! You have done a lot with previous tips, paying good attention to the environment and disruptive factors therein. I found that striking. It is wonderful to see how you all radiate, emphasize strength and come across stylishly in the photo. Really great. I also think it is wonderful to read how you dive into the assignment; prepare well, read up, find accessories, coordinate colors, search for and find meanings. It is much more than just taking a photo of your new look and your hairstyle.
Okay, here are the comments per model. Enjoy reading! I certainly enjoyed your looks… nice!
Model Rachel In your photos you have made good use of the morning light. In any case it is beautifully soft. The coloring gives your body an African glow, a red desert glow. And that is an Africa feeling for me. I find your Afro Hawk powerful. It shows that you have a lush head of curls, the braided sides provide beautiful lines. Your gaze into the camera is nice, not always frontal (nice actually) but sometimes subtle with somewhat smaller eyes. Power and finesse are words that come to mind. I like looking at the beads in your first photos in particular, with a bikini on top. The first and last photos give me the most of an Africa feeling. A beautiful whole!
Model Consuela Well, you have added diversity to your hairstyle! It is also great that each hairstyle has a different set in a different colour. You have clearly read up on the colours that are important to Afrikaners and have a value. Your photos are a bit dark and I think that if we could see a close-up, your hair would get even more appreciation than it already does. The hair and the hairstyle are not that easy to see. But your overall picture of clothing, posture, colour and such; that has been thought through. Indeed, you have pulled out all the stops. Your look shows strength but a smile would have been nice too. After all, cheerfulness is also something that Africa is known for.
Model Melanta Beautiful different hairstyles. Wearing your hair up gives you a beautiful stately posture. It shows power. The accessories have been carefully selected, it gives the African touch that completes you as a model. The fourth photo is a bit more difficult, the focus of the photo is not on your face but on your legs. That is a bit difficult for the viewer. The other photos are well chosen; a full body, a close-up of your face and one of your hair. That gives us a good idea of your outfit but also of your hairstyle. It's nice that you smile, go smoothly jkt and powerfully touches the camera. Beautiful.
Model Carol Nice looks, varied and feminine! Try to take a lighter background next time, then your beautiful hair will stand out even better. Now it disappears a bit in the background. Strength and the red color certainly come forward in your photos; you radiate power. The third photo shows a very stylish woman, so classy! The braided hair upwards is beautiful for the line, it emphasizes your neck and your cheekbones. Sensual almost J. The African is reflected in your background and your jewelry, so well chosen!
Model Xaviera African fashion… oeiiee.. we can't ignore that in your photos. It's a catwalk vibe all around. Your poses are right, your looks, your accessories (bag smoothly on your fingers, attitude). The first photo is the least, the plant prevents us from looking at you as a person. Your hair falls away a bit more spiky because of the branches. Good that you think about how your hairstyle looks best in the photo (in photo two from the side). Your descriptions give us a good idea of how the hairstyle is put together. Unfortunately it's less visible in the photo, a bit dark. But your overall image is well put together. The feeling of fashion is definitely there!
When it comes to fashion, Xaviera is a good candidate. The attitude she adopts is simply fashionable. But when it comes to African look, the touch of Africa in fashion, I still choose Rachel. The light falls beautifully, her skin sparkles, the accessories complete the whole thing, the color yellow is sunny.
My tip for next time: try to ensure well-lit photos. Only then can we see how hair, posture and clothing fit together. You will have noticed that the winners for me every week are the ones where everything is clearly visible. Just a little more light, which makes the photo even more beautiful!

Rachel: Rachel thinks you are great for persevering despite your difficult period! My condolences for your uncle, and lots of strength. I must also say that despite the circumstances you are taking better and better photos. I think this is your best photo of the week, because you are really playing with the camera in this photo. Only I miss the African feeling here.
Melanta: You are making great progress with posing for photos. It's nice to see how you work on it. I think this is the best photo of you. Only I can't get the African feeling out of this. I must mention that you have done a lot of research on the lifestyle of the African people.
Consuela: Very nice outfits you have on! The combination outfit and her style is perfect! Too bad some photos are very dark and were taken indoors. For example, you could have cut out the furniture so that only you were visible in the photo. This photo would have been much nicer if, for example, the table and cabinet were not visible. The outfit and background match each other very well in terms of color.
Carol: Posture and poses are improving more and more. You are now making more contact with the camera and you are therefore creating a better look, whereby you are now also more noticeable! Keep it up! I also do not get an African feeling with the photos.
Xaviera: In the pictures you are not even visible. The last two pictures are very dark. The photo with the plant is a nice idea, but make sure you are in the foreground, because now it seems like it's about the plant and not about you.
Often stands with your back to the camera. Play more with the camera next time. I don't get an African feeling with this photo either.

Rachel That Fro Hawk suits you very well. Your hair looks full and healthy. The photo in your bikini top definitely leans towards High Fashion. The stately posture, beautiful long neck and also the look into the distance. Beautiful shots. The other 3 photos are also good in terms of pose and especially the way you look into the camera. The camera loves you. You look like a pro. The only pity with these shots I find that the African does not stand out. I do not get an African feeling with the shots. In photo 3 your cheekbone is a bit overexposed but it does not look bad. All in all, very well done!
Consuela The African look and feel is completely there with you. I really enjoyed the fantastically beautiful and diverse hairstyles, the colors and the make-up. The styling is completely finished for me. What is a pity is that you took the photos indoors with bad lighting. In your red dress I can hardly see you and in many of the photos you are depicted a bit dark while you should be the light in a photo. Furthermore, I have the idea that you can be a bit more relaxed in front of the camera, but I have every confidence that that will happen.
Melanta Just like Consela you show a lot of variation with your hair. I don't know how you do that because once I have a hairdo it lasts at least a week. I really like shot 3, nice and spontaneous. Your hair, smile, the clothes are also clearly visible. The close-up is also nice, the shadow is not disturbing. You look well into the camera. Unfortunately I don't really get an African feeling with you either but your poses are clearly getting better. Only the pose that Valerie likes, I like less, just like Raul. Just like he says, your knees seem to get all the attention.
Carol Lovely those close ups of you. That is certainly an improvement compared to last week. In addition, I am surprised by how many faces you have. You keep coming forward surprisingly, which is of course very good. Your hair is different and you are suddenly a completely different person. Too bad I can't see your hairdo very well. I do see that you have decorated your hair nicely with a piece of jewelry, but the hair disappears a bit in the dark background. In photo 2, you look very well into the camera and the poses are good. Nice variety. But with you too, Africa doesn't really stand out from the entire series.
Xaviera In the first photo the plant is dominant. If you take a photo like that your head, face or headdress really has to stand out so much that the plant disappears into the background. But other than that Wow, I am impressed. You seem to be one step ahead of everyone here. Your hairdo is in tune with the style you are wearing, the location is well chosen and your poses are super professional. The only other downside is that Africa does not stand out except in the first photo.
Winner this week It was very difficult because actually only with Consuela Africa stands out and the chosen styling is absolutely perfect but the photos are dark and not professional looking. Too bad. Xaviera has the most professional looking photos in terms of style and poses but Africa does not stand out. Rachel has the strongest photos and because she also has a bit of Africa through the beach shots she is the winner this week!
