Despite a relatively “lazy” summer, I did get started with perhaps my best formula ever. I get so many questions about my twistout that I started perfecting the recipe so that anyone who wants to can wear a twistout without any problems.

Despite a relatively “lazy” summer, I did get started with perhaps my best formula ever. I get so many questions about my twistout that I started perfecting the recipe so that anyone who wants to can wear a twistout without any problems.
Now that my new formula has been approved by three different girlfriends with different types of frizzy hair, I think it's time to launch it. To celebrate the happy fact, I did a roller set with the flexible rollers for a change. Over the years it has always failed, but now finally thanks to the new Silky Shea Hair Butter and the Herbal Styling Gel I dare say that it has succeeded.
With these products you can not only easily wear a twistout, you can even choose what type of curls you want to wear and believe me your hair will stay in place until the next wash.
Of course I don't recommend you to take this for granted, but to try it yourself. Hopefully the following instructions will help.
Pipe curls
In principle it doesn't matter how long or short your hair is. With five cm your hair is long enough to be able to turn around these small flex rods.
A roller set works best on freshly washed clean hair, but the big secret is that your hair doesn’t have to be soaking wet with this new Twist Out Gel. Your hair can be damp or even dry, but it certainly doesn’t have to be soaking wet. It’s ideal if your hair is just barely dry. This means you don’t have to sit under a hairdryer for hours or walk around with rollers until your hair is dry. For someone as impatient as I am, this is a huge advantage.
It is best to first divide your hair into a few manageable sections. This makes the process easier. Depending on how big or small the sections are, you can use 2 to 5 rollers per section. The smaller you divide the hair, the fuller the hairstyle and the longer it will stay in place.
-
Take at least an amount of hair comparable to the thickness of a normal pencil.
-
Add half and half Going-Natural Herbal Gel and Curly Twist-Out Hair Milk and brush through hair to distribute evenly from end to end.
-
Start at the end of your hair to twist the twist rod. Make sure the end point is completely wrapped around it. This is important for the finish.
-
Roll the rest of the hair around the roller and then bend the ends towards each other to hold it in place. -
Repeat this for all sections of hair.
-
When your hair is completely dry, remove the flex rods and use your fingers to shape your hair.
