Relaxers of Texturizers?

Relaxers or Texturizers?

M. Liong

I would like to know more about texturizer. What is said is that it is less chemical and therefore less damaging to the hair. You can leave it in the hair for a short or longer period of time while applying it with a less strong to stronger effect. What can you tell me and recommend about texturizer. I am now frizzing for information. genamba

Texturizers

=================

Hi Genamba,

Thank you for your question. I am very glad that you asked this question because I myself have been searching for the answer for a long time.

The answer is very simple, a relaxer and a texturizer are the same. They just use different terms as a marketing strategy to sell the same thing. Relaxers, Texturizers and now Texture Softener really do not differ much from each other if you look at the formulation. Nowadays it is often also called conditioning relaxer to supposedly indicate that the product only loosens the curl a bit. Nothing could be further from the truth. They are all just the same products.

The worst part is that these products are supposedly for children and are already recommended as such. No wonder I see more and more and younger children with damaged hair.

Here is a video with an example
