What does daddy think of my hair?
Black women seem to be subconsciously given the message that their natural hair is not beautiful or good enough. Part of the reason we relax and weave is because we are convinced that we would never find a partner with our natural hair. But is that true? No
What do men really think about frizzy hair and what message do they convey to their young daughters? After all, the very first contact of newborn girls with the opposite sex usually goes through the father. What do the girls intuitively get from palief? Here are a few portraits. You may draw your own conclusion.
Questions to the daughter:
What do you think of your hair?
I like it because I can do a lot with it.
What do you think daddy thinks about your hair? Why do you think your daddy thinks that? Does he ever say anything about your hair?
Nice because I don't have fake hair in between. Yes, he says he's glad I don't have fake hair.
Would you like it if daddy did your hair? Why or why not?
Depends if my hair is boesh boesh or if daddy is going to make dreads out of it. But actually I think it's pretty but I don't think it suits me.
What's your favorite hairstyle?
wiggly with loose braids at the back.
If you could choose, what haircut would you want? You can also say none of them.
The first one but a bit shorter

Questions to the father:
What do you think of your daughter's hair?
Awesome and it always smells nice.
Have you ever combed or styled your daughter's hair? If so, when and what was it like for you? If not, why not and would you want to?
Yes, but according to her mother it was never good enough.
If your daughter wanted to relax or dreadlock her hair now, would you allow her to do so? Why or why not?
It would all be allowed, but I would indicate that I have difficulty relaxing.
What message did you receive about frizzy hair when you were younger?
You want to stay in peace.
Did that message influence the choice of a partner and to what extent does that message still have influence today?
No, I have no influence because I went my own way and I have seen how much beauty can be created from frizzy hair.
Women seem to weave and relax because men don't like frizzy hair. Now I've been talking to men about hair for years and I haven't met one who says they like weaves. Relaxing is often more than okay, but somehow men don't seem to like weaves because they're fake. Has your wife ever worn weaves and what did you think? Did you dare to say something about it or was it too sensitive?
Yes she does but I have always made it clear that I don't like it.
What do you think is worse, fake hair or fake boobs?
I have a problem with anything fake unless it's necessary.
Do you have a message for women who think men don't like frizzy hair?
It is not true that men do not like frizzy hair, it may be true for many but not for most. Discover what is possible with frizzy hair and realize that your own hair costs you less.
I'm attracted to curly hair because it tells you a lot about a person.
