Questions about Relaxers

M. Liong

Kroeshaar.com also receives questions from women who have relaxed their hair. Often reluctantly as if they are not entirely sure whether kroeshaar.com is also meant for them. Here are the most frequently asked questions.

Is kroeshaar.com anti relaxers?
No, pro-frizzy hair does not necessarily mean anti-relaxed hair. Kroeshaar.com is against the idea that frizzy hair is bad and not representative. The site is pro-frizzy hair because we are convinced that our hair problems are disproportionate and result from outdated ideas about our hair type. We promote frizzy hair in the hope of changing this. The goal of kroeshaar.com is that the tips, information and products offered lead to flourishing healthy hair for all frizzy women.

Are the products from the curly hair Webshop also suitable for relaxed hair?
The answer is yes, definitely. Not only are the tips and information often applicable to relaxed hair, the products offered by the Kroeshaar WebShop are even more suitable than the products you can get at your local hair store. These are full of ingredients that are not beneficial for any hair type. For more information, I refer you to the: list of harmful ingredients , but you can also search the internet yourself with the keywords "harmful cosmetics ingredients".

Kroeshaar.com offers products on a natural basis without harmful ingredients such as Sodium Laureth Sulfate that dry out hair. Here is an explanation of how the frizzy hair products also work on relaxed hair.

Shampoos

All shampoos that the Kroeshaar WebShop sells are suitable for relaxed hair. The natural ingredients cleanse hair and scalp without a drying effect. The Kroeshaar Herbal Shampoos from the WebShop are specially developed to cleanse the hair while maintaining its suppleness. For a conditioning shampoo I would recommend the Black Olive Shampoo . Also perfect if you like to clean your scalp well to prevent dandruff and itching.

Conditioners
Just like the shampoos, all conditioners are also suitable for relaxed hair. The Kroeshaar Detox Conditioning Treatment is especially suitable for dry and damaged hair. Our Moisturizing Deep Conditioner is suitable for all hair types, smells wonderful and makes the hair nice and soft.

Moisturizers; Hair milk, butter and cream
These natural products are also super suitable for relaxed hair. Depending on your hair type, you can choose any of these for daily care. If you plan to tong or blow-dry your hair, I highly recommend Silky Shea hair butter . Not only does it protect the hair strands from the heat. Silky Shea benefits from the heat. This natural butter then penetrates the hair shaft even deeper and even functions as a conditioner.

I am looking for a natural relaxer without harmful chemical ingredients to defrizz my hair. Where can I get one?
As far as I know, there is no natural relaxer to smooth frizzy hair. To smooth frizzy hair, the curls have to be straightened and that is almost impossible without a strong chemical compound. In addition, I would not recommend these so-called relaxers because of the Copa Scandal. Copa was a so-called natural relaxer that was advertised on TV as a super natural relaxer that you could even eat. The man in the commercial took a bite on the spot to prove it and it worked because the products flew off the counter. Unfortunately, the stuff turned out to be so dangerous that it led to acute hair loss. Women filed a lawsuit en masse, but unfortunately they not only lost their money, but also their hair. It is one of the most well-known cases here in the US, which is why I do not recommend these products, although I am convinced that it would bring in a lot of money if I also offered them in the WebShop 😉

Relaxers Can relaxed hair grow long?
Yes, but here care is even more important, because the hair is damaged by the chemical treatment, the hair needs extra care.

My cousin relaxed her hair and it broke off completely. If you want to relax your hair what is the best brand?
There is no such thing as the best brand. There are different types of relaxers, Lye and No-Lye and you need to know which is best for your hair and especially how to use the stuff. It is best to have this done at a hairdresser.
