The Silky Shea Hair Butter

M. Liong

When the hair butter finally arrived I of course immediately started trying out, testing and making hairstyles. Since I developed this Silky Shea specifically to transform dry hair into silky soft hair nothing was better than trying out some afro hairstyles.

Before creating this hairstyle, I gave my hair an extensive Sula Detox Treatment to make sure all other possible product and dirt residue was out of my hair.

While my hair was still damp I started to section my hair. I added some Silky Shea hair butter to each section. For convenience I also put some hair butter on the Denman Brush before brushing it out. When you start brushing you know for sure that the butter is distributed well and evenly over the hair.

The test went surprisingly well. As usual I started at the ends and the brush glided through my hair so easily. Simply wonderful. With great pleasure I made 10 large twists to let the hair dry.

Once my hair was dry I went to the hairdresser to have cornrows or kwiekwieba braided. I am not that good at it myself and I thought it was necessary because cornrows can give the maximum stretch to an afro. Of course I wanted the maximum stretch so that the result of the Silky Shea would be clearly visible.

The result? Well, you see. I had a nice bush on my head again. I enjoyed those false dreadlocks immensely, but there really is NOTHING better than your own healthy frizzy hair. Especially if you have the delicious Silky Shea at hand.
