For over 7 years, could be longer, I went from relaxed to curly, then relaxed to curly again, to NATURAL. It was one of the best decisions I ever made when it comes to hair. I had all the curly hair cut out and had a short head. That took some getting used to at first, because my hair was quite long. Then I braided my hair for a very long time, because I didn't know what to do with my hair. That was fine, because that way I gave my hair the opportunity to grow. And that happened. After two years I was tired of braiding, but I didn't really know what to do with my frizzy hair. How to care for it, style it etc. I went to several hairdressers and the advice I got didn't make me any wiser. Then I did my own thing. That worked fine, but my hair remained dry. I also noticed that I saw knots appear on the ends of the hair strands. As if someone had put a knot in it. They came out when I cut the ends, but reappeared almost immediately afterwards. What also plays a role is that I suffer terribly from a dry scalp, itching and dandruff. When I washed my hair, the itching and dandruff were gone, but came back after the 2nd or 3rd day. This made it look like I had NOT washed my hair. I used almost all products from Soft and Free and they at least made my hair look less dry. But appearances were threatened because my hair was as dry as cork. I knew that there were better products for my hair, I saw women with more radiant and healthier curls, but I just couldn't find the products. A friend told me about Mixed chicks. I also used them for a while, but they didn't work for my hair either. Despite the fact that my hair has more curls due to my mother's Indian influences. My hair still felt dry. I then went back to Soft and Free and at the same time I also started googling and came across this site in January. Tried to order some products but couldn't get through because I kept getting an error message. Then I went to many stores to find your products but to no avail. Finally I found something that seems to work for my hair. It's called Taliah Waajid - Black Earth Products. My hair looks and feels healthier and more radiant, but the knots are still there and I still have the dandruff and itching, but it doesn't come as quickly as before. Now it takes at least 2 to 3 weeks before I start to experience it.
As you can see, I am very desperate for a permanent solution.
Have now (fortunately I managed to place an order) placed an order via the webshop. Have ordered the olive oil shampoo and the road with knots (knot teaser and the no more knots). I am curious how the effect of these products will be and whether they will help me to get rid of my knots, itching and dandruff.
Although I have been natural for 7 years, I am still a novice when it comes to caring for and styling frizzy hair. But one thing is for sure, I am VERY happy and satisfied with my beautiful frizzy hair and want to be able to do more with it than I can now.
