My perception has changed quite a bit. I always thought I couldn't handle my hair, that it would be uncombable and not pretty. (I was wrong). I love my hair because it suits me better and I can wear it with pride, just like God intended it.

Have you ever relaxed and if so when and why did you decide to stop relaxing? If not why not? Was it a conscious choice or was it not allowed?
I spent 6 years with relaxed hair. Two years ago I decided to stop relaxing. I was fed up with it and wanted to go back to my natural hair. It was a very conscious choice.
Most of us loved the results of our first relaxer! Do you remember yours? How old were you and what did you think?
I thought my hair was amazingly beautiful after the first relaxing session. I was 21 years old. The hair was incredibly long and I felt like a celebrity.
What method did you choose to go frizzy and was the hardest part about going frizzy?
I braided my hair with fake hair for nine months and in August 2012 I did that big chop. It took some getting used to: combing, thinking of hairstyles, etc.
And what was the best thing about going/being curly?
The best thing I think is that it has given a big boost to my self-confidence. I feel proud of my frizzy hair.
What has the transformation to afro hair taught you?
That transformation taught me that I need to spend extra time and more attention on my hair.
Could you describe your worst and best haircut?
My best haircut is in that picture above. I love it and can't get enough of it. My worst haircut... hmmm... don't really have one.
Looking back, has your perception of frizzy hair changed? Can you explain that?
My perception has changed quite a bit. I always thought I couldn't handle my hair, that it would be uncombable and not pretty. (I was wrong)
What's your favorite hairstyle?
My favorite hairstyle is mowhawk model and also mini twist.
I love my hair because it suits me better and I can wear it with pride, just like God intended it.
