I've been wearing my hair natural for about a year and a half. When I was twelve, I think, I straightened my hair for the first time. I was still living in Curacao at the time and yes, everyone in my class did it so why not. I'm not someone who spends all day on her hair anyway so I didn't keep it the way it should be done.
I prefer to wear my hair loose and sometimes I get creative with some pins to leave the front to one side. I have my hair frizzy because it's not so much hassle with straightening, blow-drying, rollers, half a day at the hairdresser and nagging "no wait I can't go out in the rain". And my mother always had her hair short so I couldn't go to her for advice. That's my story more or less.

why do you wear your hair frizzy : frizzy hair is a part of my identity. i have always found dreadlocks beautiful and wanted to grow dreads for a long time but never dared.
now I finally had it done and I think they are beautiful.

I just read on your site that you are looking for new models. That seems really nice to me because I am very proud of my frizzy hair. My father is of Surinamese descent, my mother is of Dutch descent and I have quite frizzy hair myself.
I've worn my hair frizzy for almost my entire life and at 17 I was tired of it and wanted curly, I did this for a few years but at one point my hair fell out in clumps in the shower. Since then I've been wearing my hair natural look again and I love it..
How do I treat my hair: In the morning I wet it in the shower and wrap it in a towel. Then I divide my hair into four and comb it out with a wide-toothed comb (I do this every other day), then I squeeze a bit of wetlook from the etos in it, I flip my hair forward and toss it a bit….

My name is Naomi Etnel, I am 21 years old and I have had my hair frizzy for about 1.5 years. The reason why my hair is frizzy now is because I went completely crazy from relaxing and my scalp could not handle it anymore and my hair also became thinner. Eventually I just cut it all off in one go.
As for hairstyles, I don't have any because I simply don't know what to do with my hair. The only thing I do occasionally is put some gel in it. I'm sending my picture as an attachment. I have to say that my hair is a bit longer now because this picture is from last summer, unfortunately I don't have a more recent one.
