The Exhibition, Bad Hair Uprooted is making waves in Curacao with Surinamese Hairstyles
After more than 20 years I landed back on Curacao at the invitation of Marlynella Conception of Kuralicious to open my exhibition Bad Hair Uprooted, the first natural hair event on Curacao. Of course a lot had changed, but what was the same was the wonderful tropical feeling almost like in Suriname. People are super friendly and so incredibly hospitable, the island is surprisingly colorful and the funchie delicious. What more could you want?
Since I was there again after so many years I took the opportunity to add a few extra days as a holiday to my stay. A world decision. Look at the photo report and you will understand why.
This was just the first Kuralicious. Marlynella has many more plans. I sincerely hope you can join us next year.
