Hello everyone, My name is Robin Verhart. I am studying photography in Amsterdam and am now in my 3rd year. I have a question for you all regarding my photography education. Currently, my subject is documentary photography, and I will make a documentary series of 10 photos.
My idea.
My idea for this series is Afro hair. The idea I have for this assignment is to make a documentary portrait series ( see the photos for inspiration ).
I myself have afro hair but honestly know very little about it, and want to change that. I also want to show people how beautiful afro hair actually is, and that you can be proud of it.
What do I want?
- I will be portraying some female persons from the front and back.
- How the models are photographed, their style and clothing is up to them.
- I want the models to look like they are in the photo 'me and my beautifull black hair' show it how you want it.
In addition to the photo, I will also interview the models. The interview will be held before the photo is taken. As an introduction to me and the model and that I learn more about Afro hair.
Deadline
Unfortunately it is not a long term project but the photos have to be finished by the end of October, so it is important that you are really available.
My question
Now my question to you is, I am looking for 5 female models. It is important that the models have different ages so that I get a kind of history line of Afro hair. Whether you have braids, waves, dreads etc. it does not matter only nice if there is variation in it.
