Although my relaxed hair looks reasonable it is quite thin. Up to 2 touch ups it always went reasonably. Then my hair broke in the middle. The entire relaxed part broke and the part that was frizzy remained.
Hence my “camouflage” style motjo koemba's. Small braids tucked in. My hair was completely broken off in the middle, really in the middle of my head.

I have worn this style on and off. I have also worn variations of it such as bantu knots. I usually kept them in for about 3 weeks. Then I would undo them, wash my hair complete with a deep conditioner and then repeat the style or do a variation of it. During this time my hair has grown the fastest.
Extensions
I have also worn extensions a lot. These extensions were ideal for me because they do not have to be braided to the end. That reduces the time at the hairdresser considerably. For those who did not know, I am very impatient. But not only do these braids last a long time, actually the longer they stay in, the more beautiful it becomes. But after 3 months you really have to take them out, you know what happens otherwise (see my book).
This style is wash and go, you can exercise as much as you want, rain or shine, your hair will stay good for at least 2 months.
Taking it out took some getting used to, but I'm now adept at that too and to be honest, even then it was worth it.
Fortunately, there is now not only the entire Going Natural Hair Care product line , but also the book to help you on your way: From Chemically Smooth to Naturally Frizzy Hair
