After watching the TV broadcast where I was talking to Sandra Bookman I got a really nice email with compliments from one of my aunts. I was of course very happy with that but I couldn't help but grin when I also read the question: "What did you do with your hair? It doesn't look frizzy. "

I really had to laugh, also because I almost heard a similar comment a week before. What did you do with your hair? Did you straighten it? I really have nothing against straightening. My beautiful dearest sister relaxed her hair and it looks beautiful, but anyone who knows me even a little knows that as the owner of kroeshaar.com and going-natural, I have absolutely no desire to straighten my hair even an ounce. Like I said, frizzy hair is in my DNA, frizzy hair is me and I will continue to promote our unique curls until there are equal hair rights for everyone.
Now, what did I do with my hair? I went to the hairdresser for a change. Not just to interlock because that is part of braid locs, but to make a hairstyle. I am not naturally good at making hairstyles anyway. Yes, I was good at a twist out and an afro, but that was actually the only thing I could do. Partings and really making those artistic hairstyles with kwie kwi ba, flat twists and such, I really have to go to the salon for that. I can also recommend it to everyone. No matter how many youtube videos you watch and how long you practice, there are few who can make hairstyles like an experienced stylist. If there is a special occasion, I go to the hairdresser.
Of course I could have done my own braid out again but that is not nearly as special as what Adenike was able to do for me. I have to say it certainly took some getting used to having my hair rolled again and especially the hood dryer. Aiaiaiai, I have never liked the dryer and never will, but every now and then I do it. The result is always surprising, also this time a hairstyle that I would never have thought of myself.
My hair was washed with the Herbal shampoo and the only thing I used besides that was the Scalp Conditioning Spray . The most important thing is that your hair is properly dry otherwise the curl will quickly fall out again. Of course, that also applies if you don't have dreadlocks. Even then this hairstyle is possible. Then I advise you to use the Herbal Styling Gel . For that, see the article How do I make ringlets in frizzy hair?
Furthermore, I must honestly admit that I did not sit under the dryer for too long. I went home with the rollers in, slept with them and went to the salon the next day to take them out and have the haircut done. I would like to hear what you think of this haircut.
