Yes, I chose Sisterlocs because I prefer micro-sized or thinner dreads. I love my small dreads, the neatness of them and the endless possibilities they give me to style my hair. On the other hand, I have to say that I really admire large, thick voluptuous locs and I also see the possibilities of how these thick locs can be incorporated into a huge variety of hairstyles.
I love my hair but not because I think micro locs are better than other types of locs or other kinky hair styles. It just suits me better, simply put it's my personal preference. Not because it's better in general.
Am I crazy for feeling offended by my sister's comment? It felt like a dig from my family who have curly hair themselves.
