If you have medium length frizzy hair, dreadlocks or braids, you don't need to spend an hour in the shower to wash your hair. Watch the video to see how I quickly and easily wash my long locs.
For people with loose frizzy hair
It is recommended to shampoo your hair after every 2 to 3 co-washes. This is because co-washes leave product residues that make your hair feel super dry in the long run. The layer prevents your hair from absorbing products, making your hair dull, brittle and fragile.
Choose a shampoo
First of all, you need a good shampoo. One that cleanses the hair but doesn't dry it out. Check out WhatNaturalsLove.nl for that. The entire selection, from handmade Black Soaps to herbal shampoos are perfect for frizzy hair, curls, braids and dreadlocks.

What you will also need is a spray bottle and a towel. Both are also available in the WhatNaturalsLove.nl in the Essentials collection with basic hair care supplies for frizzy hair, curls, braids and dreadlocks.
Instructions
- Fill the spray bottle halfway with a shampoo of your choice and water.
- Then take a section of your hair and spray the shampoo-water mix onto your hair.
- Rub the mixture thoroughly into your hair, whether you have locs, braids or frizzy hair.
- Make a bantu and continue with the rest of the hair.
Let the hair sit for 10 to 20 minutes to let the shampoo do its work. The goal is to rid the hair of all the build-up of product residue, oils and dirt particles from the air. These will come off super easily during the next round of rinsing.
Rinse
Take a lovely shower and let the hair flow blissfully on your hair and scalp. Take your time to enjoy this. Nice is only a finger long. When you are ready, take off the first bantu. The easiest thing is to start at the back of the head, from the bottom.
Now let the water run through that piece of hair while you go through the hair with your fingers and hands. This way you can easily rinse the shampoo with dirt from the hair. Continue until the rest of the hair is done and viola! Lovely clean, nice smelling hair.
Now it's time to throw a towel over your hair so that the excess water can be absorbed. New at WhatNaturalsLove.nl is this super Microfiber cap that quickly absorbs water and prevents those annoying drops from running down your neck when you try to dry your hair.
Microfiber Cap Microfiber hair drying cap for frizzy hair, curls, braids and locsThis Microfiber cap lets your hair dry even faster and the great thing is that if you have curls, it also leaves the curls intact.
It is also ideal for my locs. It absorbs 80% of the water which makes my hair dry faster. What more could you want.
For people with loose frizzy hair
You don't need to comb your hair out while spraying it if you just have loose frizzy hair. You only comb your hair out during the next round when you are going to deep condition your hair.
If you co-wash, opt for the Detox Conditioner , which deeply cleanses the hair, makes it super soft and also adds shine.
You can use the exact same method for conditioning your hair. Apply the deep conditioner to your hair, work it through your hair with your fingers and twist a bantu. When rinsing out a section, you can run a comb through your hair.
