Dear Mireille, My hair is short and thin and to prevent it from breaking further it may need to be even shorter. I have been braiding my hair for 6 months now (fake braids). My last chemical treatment was 10 months ago, curly. I now want natural and need the right products for that. I have x-number of questions and hope you can advise me.
1.I have been braiding my hair for 6 months now (fake braids). My last chemical treatment was 10 months ago, curly. I want to go natural now and need the right products for that.
2. While surfing the site, I had decided to start with these products:
Detox Conditioner ????
No More Knots ???
Is this a good choice to start with. I have hair type 4a/b.
3. The 3 products with question marks, are they necessary in the first place?
4. Can I also use these products for my 4.5 year old daughter with hair type 3c?
5. I have (in the front of my hair) quite a few gray hairs. Do you have something for dye/color rinse there too?
6. On the site under the heading Kroeshaar community it says: check for free products. How does that work?
Please also include the total amount (including shipping costs) when you mention your recommendations. Thank you in advance.
Yours sincerely,
D.

First of all, thank you for your vote and of course your extensive questions. I am glad that you are interested in the Going Natural hair products.
From statement 1 I understand that you want to take out the braids and just go natural. If you just want to keep wearing braids then that is not a problem, but then you will need different care. For example, I do not recommend conditioners when the hair is braided. Although conditioners are good for real hair, they are less effective when you wear braids. Conditioners that are developed to form a layer around the hair also do this when you wear braids, only the residues cannot be washed out properly because of the braided artificial hair. This causes a build-up of product residues that can cause the hair to break.
Since I saw a picture of you, I would like to mention the following. The braids suit you very well, but they are made very thin. That is a problem because thin braids are very fragile. The amount of hair is quickly too little to carry the extension, which means that the hair can easily break. When combing out, women sometimes notice that there is less hair than they started with and that is because the hair is braided too thinly. I would like to point this out to you.
Now if you are taking your braids out I would definitely recommend the No More Knots. This spray not only makes an extension slide out of the hair easily, it also makes it easier to detangle the hair. Here is an extensive article about it: Braids, this is how you take them out .
First of all, I don't think the Scalp Conditioning Spray will be necessary. This is more for braids, dreadlocks, and hairstyles where the scalp is exposed such as cornrows. The No more Knots on the other hand is always handy to detangle the hair. Whether you need to take out twists or just comb the hair after wearing a twistout or afro, it is always nice.
The Going Natural Detox Conditioner is always a good choice, especially once the braids are out of the hair. This treatment gives the hair a wonderful boost. You can also choose just the Detox Conditioner , you don't have to have both conditioners. I don't want to make it more difficult for you, but the combination of the Going Natural Herbal Shampoo and the Detox Conditioner is very special.
You can absolutely use all products on your daughter, but be aware that the shampoos sting the eyes very much.
Unfortunately I haven't found anything natural that can camouflage grey hair. Like all other products I want to keep it as natural as possible.
Check for free products has to do with price offers that are issued every now and then. It hasn't happened for a long time now because of the crowds, but it's still there. You can also keep an eye on the American website for that: Going Natural.com .
Well, hopefully you're on your way. Good luck with the transformation and keep us posted if you want.
Odi,
Mireille
