Hair products against thin spots and hair loss

M. Liong

Hello, I decided to do the “big chop” 2 months ago after my hair was damaged from relaxing and because I suffer from recurring bald spots. Now I am looking for products that can give the bald spots an extra boost.

Dunne plekjes in kroeshaar

It is the second time that I stop relaxing. A year and a half ago I did the process to frizzy hair gradually by braiding with fake hair for months (almost 1 year). But after a while I was tired of braiding.

I tried to think of creative styles for my own hair, but due to very busy periods, combined with the weather, occasions where I have to be presentable, etc., not much had come of it. Last summer I decided to relax again. And after 2 months I was left with damaged hair again, worse than ever.

Now I am back at the beginning of the frizzy hair process and I take all the tips from different sites. And now my question:
My hair is growing well now but on the bald spots it is going very slowly… Are there any ways to stimulate hair growth on the bald spots or is it a matter of luck?

greetings,
Sweetfro

Hi Sweetfro,
Thank you for visiting kroeshaar.com and thank you for your question.

I understand your problem like no other because I have been through exactly the same thing and I think many other women are in the same vicious circle; your hair breaks because of all the relaxing, you stop and braid for a while, the hair grows nicely, you relax again, the hair stays good for a while and yes, your hair breaks again. Exactly in the same place and often worse than the last time.

The reason I started this site is to offer this large group a better alternative than relaxing. It is very sad that we destroy our hair and I think women should know that you don't necessarily have to relax to look good.

I can hardly say anything about your thin spots. Hair growth depends on the hair roots and relaxers damage the hair and the hair roots every time we relax; even if you don't have visible burns. In fact, only a dermatologist can determine how badly the roots are damaged. But the fact that your hair is growing gives hope.

I too have had to deal with a thin spot, exactly where it always started to burn first when I relaxed, in the middle of my head. So far it is still a difficult spot and I have to take extra care of the hair there to prevent it from breaking. I do this by using the Scalp Conditioning oil and the Scalp Conditioning Spray . The essential peppermint oil in the Scalp Oil works nicely stimulating while the Spray is nourishing and refreshing for the scalp.

If you want to look good without too much work, I highly recommend the Curly Twistout Hair Cream . This cream not only nourishes, it also keeps the curls super flexible. Nice and juicy, which prevents my hair from breaking.

Another advantage of this Curly Twistout Hair Cream is that you can take care of your hair as you did when you relaxed. Just in the evening instead of putting in rollers, make big twists. It even takes less time than putting in curlers or tongs.

I hope this answer helps you on your way and that your hair will fully recover and bloom this year. We would like to see a photo again to see how it is going.

Odi,
Mireille
