FRIZZLY HAIR
What is frizzy hair anyway? Why doesn't frizzy hair grow? How does a relaxer work?

The first Dutch book about Afro Hair is based on scientific research and answers all these kinds of questions.
The book presentation is on March 9 at 11:30 in the Koningskerk in Amsterdam and you can be there.

Frizzy hair is experiencing a true revival. Partly due to bad experiences with chemical hair products, such as relaxers, more and more women are switching to natural hairstyles. We also see dreadlocks, afros and even cornrows among men. An interesting development that raises questions. What is actually possible with frizzy hair, how do you make all those hairstyles and how do you care for frizzy hair? The possibilities appear to be legion and the scientific facts surprising. Frizzy hair is the most fragile hair type and yet very versatile.

The book is based on various scientific research and explains the care and versatility of frizzy hair. From chemical relaxer to frizzy hairstyles such as dreadlocks and braids are discussed.

The author, Mireille Liong-A-Kong, grew up in Suriname and studied Computer Science at the University of Amsterdam. She wrote Kroeshaar during her stay in New York, as a diversion from her career in Information Technology. In addition to the book, she also designed the website: http://kroeshaar.com .
