Five months before the very first book about Afro Hair came out, the website kroeshaar.com was launched. The goal was to gauge the public's opinion on this then sensitive subject. As the author of the book Afro Hair; What You Need to Know and More, I was convinced that Afro hair hairstyles were representative, but at the same time I was aware that I was going against convention.
The fact that I had studied Computer Science was very convenient. What better way to get feedback than by building a website? That was the underlying reason. This is what the first site looked like, long before the time of CMS, Content Management Systems, as we know them today.
