Silvana, from a burnt scalp with straightened hair, to beautiful, long, healthy frizzy hair

Mireille Liong

Hi dear people,
My name is Silvana and I have been in the group for a long time, but this is the first time I post something here. I would like to share the following with you to inspire others who also want to become natural, but also those who are already natural.
I have been straightening for years, but 5 years ago it turned out that every time I did a touch up it hurt. The result was a burnt scalp 🤭 . I was aware that my scalp could not tolerate the straight anymore, but I did not want to give it up and for several reasons:
1. I thought straightened hair was all that.
2. The pain I experienced when combing out my frizzy hair (of course by doing it wrong)
3. The creativity that curly hair requires regarding types of hairstyles, especially with my hair type 😀 (which in retrospect isn't that difficult).
4. People (especially my nieces and close friends) who refuse to braid for me because of the volume of my hair 😆 .

Through the natural hair movement wo this group I learned more about frizzy hair. After much consideration I finally made the decision to go natural in December 2015 and proudly say that I don't regret it 😉 .

Below 👇 some impressions of my hair then and now 😃 .

Greetings 💕 .
