I often receive requests from students or acquaintances who are looking for an apartment in New York. Unfortunately, until recently I couldn't really help anyone with this, but now I can. I know of a nice apartment at a very reasonable price, and I couldn't keep that information from you.
The one-bedroom apartment is in Flatbush, a thriving Caribbean neighborhood where you can experience the real life of New Yorkers. Not only can you choose from various supermarkets and health food stores if you want to cook yourself, but you can also choose from a range of restaurants. Besides the typical American chains like Burger King and Subway, you can opt for authentic Italian Pizzerias, Soul Food, and Caribbean cuisine.
If you want to go to Manhattan, that's no problem at all. The apartment is one block from the subway, and you can be in the city center for shopping and entertainment in 20 minutes.
If you just want to relax, the famous Prospect Park is also within walking distance, three blocks away as they say in New York. You'll find yourself in an oasis of green, trees, plants, and water.
The apartment is available for rent in July, September, and October. The price per week is $400 and for a month $1200.
