Hi and welcome!
My name is Mireille Liong-A-Kong. As a Social Entrepreneur with a degree in Information Technology, I started this website with the aim of fundamentally changing the image of afro hair.
My hair, broken off to the scalp, was the reason to find out what was wrong with (my?) frizzy hair. Desperate at the prospect of being dependent on weaves (wigs) for the rest of my life, I decided to learn everything, absolutely everything, that was necessary about the care of frizzy hair; because no matter what, I had to and wanted my own healthy hair back.
What I learned was published in the very first Dutch book on frizzy hair care entitled “Frozzy Hair; What You Need to Know and More”.
When I discovered that I was far from the only one and that a whopping 73% of Black women experience breakage, hair loss and scalp conditions as a result of relaxer use, I decided to change my career. Since then, I have used both my IT expertise and afro hair knowledge to improve the health of Black women’s hair in the Diaspora.
With this goal in mind, I followed up my successful debut with Naturally Frizzy, from chemically smooth to naturally frizzy hair , a showcase of frizzy hair styles in Manhattan, New York titled In the Pursuit of Nappiness and America's Next Natural Model, an annual contest to promote the beauty of frizzy hair. Once I had gained enough knowledge in formulating hair products, I also started my own hair care line, Going Natural Hair Care.
Together with my American website Going-Natural.com this site supports the main goal of fundamentally changing the image of frizzy hair. That is where I believe the root of the problem lies. If we can change the negative stereotype of frizzy hair styles into a positive one, women from the Diaspora will appreciate their own hair type more. By showing at least as many and equally beautiful alternatives, I hope that women will also be less inclined to defrizz their hair at all costs.
I would like to invite you to help me promote the beauty of curly hair. It will cost you nothing and I can really use all the help in any form.
The easiest thing you can do to help fundamentally change the image of afro hair is to sign up and create a profile. This way you can show photos of your own beautiful hairstyles, which will undoubtedly inspire others.
You can also leave a comment or simply click the “Like” button when something appeals to you and share the article, product or photo in your network.
Of course I would also be very happy if you leave a review if you have had good experiences with the Going Natural Hair Products.
Now I hope you enjoy everything that kroeshaar.com has to offer and of course I look forward to your response. Thanks in advance and see you soon.
As they say in Surinamese, Odi!
