When it comes to beauty, IBS New York is the biggest show in the world and at the same time the most spectacular. The most famous hairdressers show their skills, companies big and small show their goods in the most exuberant way while the rest of the beauty professionals are looking for the ultimate product at the best price. Hair is of course the most important topic.

Stylist Ted Gibson, known from the TV show “What Not To Wear,” had a booth with models and stylists while he himself gave a workshop entitled “Celebrity Red Carpet Hair.”
Ted had models of all kinds but most of them walked around with a frizzy hair look, one of his creative techniques.
Aminat Ayinde, who came in third in America's Next Top Model class 12 was also one of Ted's models. It was really fun to meet her in person. Besides being incredibly tall and beautiful, she is also just nice and friendly. I think she can definitely go far in the modeling world.
Arthur Harris, is another well known stylist who was there. In full regalia with his salon staff and products. Arthur wears locs, has a big smile and is a super friendly personality.
He proudly shared that his salon, Salon Red & Spa on New Bury Street in Boston, welcomes all hair types. Yes, you can also go there for locs and twists.
His staff is very diverse, well educated, trained and experienced. So it is possible that a white or even Japanese hairdresser will give you a frizzy haircut that you have always dreamed of. For more information about Salon Red & Spa go to http://www.salonred350.com/

Dr. David H. Kingsley
Dr. David H. Kingsley, internationally known as a Tricholist was also on IBS to introduce his 4 step hair treatment. See http://www.drdavidkingsley.com/

Jane Carter – Kafele
The only loctition I encountered was Kafele at Jane Carter Solution's booth. Jane was also there personally to greet customers and answer questions.

Bahia Tazi's of Chaacoca
I was very impressed by Bahia Tazi's new line Chaacoca. Bahia is from Morocco, but lives in California and the products she offers are really of very high quality. Really delicious authentic Moroccan products like we also offer in the webshop: Black Soap made from olives, pure Argan Oil and Rhassoul Clay.

While I was looking for the next interesting stand, this nice lady handed me a few Woody samples. One of them was a hair and body shampoo for men with a really nice spicy wooden scent. I was very happy that I could take it with me, so I had something for my husband and no, I won't mind at all if he starts smelling like "Woody".

Makeu was also there in abundance. Mineral make-up, brushes, lipstick, if it had to do with make-up, it was on IBS. These two ladies from Colorevolution were able to convince me that mineral make-up might be something for dark skin.

After two days of walking around I certainly hadn't seen everything, but when my feet started to feel it was time to go. One thing is for sure. IBS is now one of my regular destinations. Not only because there is so much to see but especially because there is a great atmosphere that is cozy and you can find very good products for a reasonable price.
