Dear Mireille, My daughter has been taking swimming lessons for a few months now. I notice that the swimming water dries out her hair a lot. I wash it weekly with shampoo and then use the silky shea for the twists. Is there a product to give her hair extra nourishment or is the silky shea sufficient?
Furthermore, I still find it difficult to detangle the hair. After washing, I comb it all out with the Denmann brush and then use the silky shea. Is it still to use an extra product to get the knots out of the hair easier.
I will soon post my experiences with the products (shampoo and gel) on your website. The shampoo is really very good. The gel still takes some getting used to. I mainly use it in the hair ends when making the twists (they stay in place well). Furthermore, I continue to find the Silky Shea Hair Butter really great.
Greetings,
Karin

Hi Karin,
I am glad that you like the products. That is always nice to hear.
Chlorine is truly a pest for hair and skin. The best advice I can give is to spray No more Knots completely on your hair about half an hour before swimming and preferably wear a swimming cap. This will give some extra protection.
Another golden tip is to wet your hair before swimming so that the chlorine water comes into contact with the hair almost diluted.
To detangle I can really recommend the No more Knots and a brush like the Knots teezer. Spray the No More Knots on towel dried hair and detangling has never been easier. The brush pulls the hair much less than the Denman brush. A large anti-static comb with wide rounded teeth is also a good alternative. This combination can handle all knots with ease. Rinse the hair as well as possible first to get rid of as much chlorine as possible or use the Detox Conditioner . This will really work wonders because it extracts the last traces of chlorine from the hair strands.
