Dear Mireille, I hope you can help me. I also want twists in my hair and I have tried to twist my hair, but they come loose. They do not stay in my hair. Is it my hair or am I doing something wrong?
I don't think you're doing anything wrong, it's just little tricks you need to know, it takes some practice, but it's actually really super easy.
So make sure the hair is damp. Clean, freshly washed hair with the Going Natural Herbal Shampoo and lubricated with a good moisturizer like the Curly Twistout Hair Cream twists the easiest and stays in place for a long time. The thinner you twist the hair, the better it stays in place.
Another clever trick to try if your hair comes loose while twisting is to simply twist the hair the other way.
Often we do not know our hair well and do not know which direction the hair grows and what is best for the hair. The best thing is of course to work with the hair and twist in the direction of growth. This is therefore a good way to get to know your hair.
Good luck and let me know the outcome.

Sometimes the hair does indeed tend to come loose. This often happens when you try to twist too much hair and mostly when the hair is dry. As an example see the picture where my hair is twisted in large parts. This was more of a home hairstyle that I wore to let my hair dry. The twists are nice and airy, easy and quick to make. Sometimes I had to make extra effort and they can indeed come loose very quickly. They also don't stay in place for very long, very different from the small thin twists that I wear much more often.
