Hello, I had a Keratin treatment done at home in May of last year with the help of a friend but it was not very successful. In October I went on holiday to Morocco. There I went to a hairdresser for a relaxing treatment. I don't know what kind exactly but according to him it could do no harm with dyed hair.

Stupid, stupid, stupid, of me to have this done. When I got home and washed my hair the misery started. My hair breaks terribly at the front and the sides and back. Now I have different lengths, except on top of my head. There my hair is still 14 cm long hair but it still breaks. The rest of my hair is only 2 cm and 3 cm. I have no wounds but it itches terribly, at the back and sides of my head.
It doesn't look good, end of November I had my hair wavy for 6 weeks. Now I'm planning to get it braided or something because my hair doesn't look good. Help me. I'm in a new relationship.

Dear Samira,
I feel for you very much. Too bad you don't know what kind of stuff the hairdresser used. In the past I never asked the hairdresser what kind of stuff she used, but when I once said that I suffered from hair breakage she did say that she would use the mildest relaxer for me. Not that it made a difference because my hair eventually broke off anyway, but I say it because it is quite important to know what kind of relaxer a hairdresser uses. It is not common at all. We usually just trust the person in question, but I think this needs to change. Especially when it comes to chemicals that can destroy the hair.
As a customer you have the right to ask what stuff is being put in your hair. A good hairdresser will not be offended at all but will be happy to inform you about the treatment they are going to do and why she has chosen that particular brand. Unfortunately, this is of no use to you at this point.
To be honest, I don't know if I can help you, but I'd like to share the knowledge I have with you. I have several theories about why it went wrong. The itching in combination with hair loss shows that it's an allergic reaction. Although you had relaxed before, you could still have had an allergic reaction for various reasons. Maybe you couldn't tolerate this combination of ingredients, but it could also be that your (head) skin reacts differently after the keratin treatment or even after a holiday in Morocco. That's very difficult to find out.
That you still have an itch is not only annoying, it is also not a good sign. For the itch I know a solution that works in 9 out of 10 cases; the Detox Deep Conditioner with active charcoal. The charcoal particles absorb really all possible residues of products. If all goes well, the particles that cause itching are also removed by rinsing out the conditioner. which makes the hair feel soft and fresh immediately.
What I therefore recommend is to do a deep detox treatment before braiding or weaving. That means washing with the Going Natural Herbal Shampoo and conditioning with the Detox Conditioner . Before I braid my hair I always do this treatment and in addition I use the Silky Shea Hair Butter to keep my hair soft and protect it from the artificial hair.
What you also need to know is that even the purchased hair can be the cause of the itch. Whether it is real hair or not, artificial hair is full of chemicals. It is therefore good to soak the hair in lukewarm water with some baking soda or apple cider vinegar before braiding or weaving.
Furthermore, the Scalp Conditioning Spray is essential. It has a healing effect and stimulates hair growth.
Good luck and I hope you keep me posted.
